New Member Events

If you are new to ECOG then thanks for taking the time to check us out and we hope you will find something of interest. We are a friendly and relaxed club, there is no pressure to join immediately, so feel free to try an event or two, or come along for a chat. We look forward to hopefully seeing you on an event soon.

As promised, in January, February and March as well as our usual events, we have the following specifically aimed at new or prospective members.

CYCLING

Saturday 16th March Alan will be leading a ride along Tissington and Manifold Valley Trails. Contact him on 07983 207428 (phone, text or WhatsApp) for details or to discuss.

Pub Social

Tuesday 13th February we will be in the Park Tavern pub on Park Lane, Macclesfield from 8pm if you would rather come along and chat first before committing to an outdoor event. Contact Howard 07813 678861 (phone, text or WhatsApp) to discuss.

Prospective members are generally welcome on all our events so if these specific ones don’t work for you please take a look at our programme and feel free to contact the leader of any event you fancy. The only caveat being that beginners or the less experienced may not enjoy or fit in on the occasional more ‘serious’ climbing, mountain biking or longer walking event. The event leader will be able to help you decide whether an event is suitable or not (details on the programme).

Although it rarely happens, we do of course reserve the right to not accept someone on an event if, following a discussion, the leader does not believe it would be in the best interests of you or the rest of the group. In such a situation we could hopefully agree a more suitable event
